New TREC advertising rules are effective as of May 16, 2018 effect all TX real estate license holders
These advertising name changes under TREC Rule 535.154 impact all TX real estate license holder. Make sure you review the changes to ensure that you are in compliance!

Sunset review of the Texas Real Estate Commission
The mission and performance of the Texas Real Estate Commission and Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board are under review by the Legislature as required under the Texas Sunset Act. The Sunset Commission consists of legislators and public members. They periodically evaluate a state agency to determine if a need for the agency is still relevant. And also review the agency's budget to ensure funds are used in the most efficient manner.
Through the Sunset review, every Texan has the opportunity to suggest ways in which the mission and operations of the Texas Real Estate Commission and Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board can be strengthened.
